On this trip the scouts took a five mile practice hike on the Lafayette Reservoir Rim Trail with backpacks to prepare for the Sunol backpacking trip. The scouts expanded their backpacking skills while preparing for Sunol and the BCT. They learned map reading and navigation skills along with general scout skills when backpacking. Overall this trip was difficult but very rewarding in both the scout skills and overall experience.
