All of the following items take time and some require appointments. Please do not wait until the night or two before an outing to get started on these. Please start now if you plan on attending an overnight scouting activity.

1. Fill out the online application at beascout.org
2. Complete registration on https://my.scouting.org/ website and write down your BSA ID 
3. Complete Youth Protection Online Training - YPT Training
4. Complete the California Mandated Reporter Online Training. Click Here
5. Upload your California Mandated Reporter Training Certificate to BSA. Click Here to upload.
6. Complete your Live Scan Fingerprinting. Bring this FORM with you to any UPS location for them to have the proper BSA ID to attach to your fingerprint scan. We recommend the UPS store in Moraga - call to make an appointment - (925) 376-4480
7. Please email your YPT and California Certificates to Scout Master Starrett Dinwiddie at troop284scoutmaster@gmail.com
8. Please complete Medical Forms A, B1 and B2 and turn 4 black and white copies into Scout Master Blaster Starrett Dinwiddie or email to troop284scoutmaster@gmail.com, and troop284forms@gmail.com. If you are attending a scouting event that is longer than 72 hours you will need to submit medical form C. That requires your doctor to fill out. It often requires an in person physical, which means you need to schedule an appointment.
